Jess Gambrell

Jess Gambrell grew up in Tarrant County, traveled extensively across the United States and abroad, and spent ten years working in logistics before becoming an attorney. That experience shaped a strong sense of empathy for people from all walks of life and now supports his work as a criminal defense lawyer dedicated to protecting the rights and freedom of every client he represents. With experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, he brings a strategic perspective to every case, understanding how the State builds its arguments and how to challenge them in court.

More About Jess

Before entering private practice, Jess served as an Assistant District Attorney in Tarrant County and an Assistant County Attorney in Williamson County. He prosecuted felony and misdemeanor cases from intake through jury trial and appeal, handling matters ranging from traffic offenses to capital murder. This background provided firsthand insight into law enforcement practices and prosecutorial strategy.

Today, Jess applies that experience to defending the accused, challenging unjust charges, and holding the government to its burden of proof. He is known for strong trial advocacy, thorough case preparation, and clear, honest communication with clients.

Jess earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pitzer College. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Eastern District of the United States, the Texas Bar College, and the Tarrant County Bar Association. He remains committed to one guiding principle: every client deserves a strong defense and a voice in the pursuit of justice.
